Kaspar Rokodil and Olaf Nijlpaard's companies
Throughout the series and specifically in the book De Droom van Alfred Jodocus Kwak, the character of Kaspar Rokodil and Olaf Nijlpaard have set up many projects together. In the book they specifically merge their names to form different chains of restaurants or other services. The book unfortunately confuses Kaspar Rokodil with his father Alfons Rokodil, meaning that sometimes this article is referring to the book instead of the animated series.
Companies from the books
De Olkas Huisvloer Hallen
- (lit. "The Olkas Housfloor Halls")
The name "Olka" was formed by combining the first parts of their given names. De Olkas Huisvloer Hallen was a chain of stores, one of which was located in Polderstad-Centrum, behind the Stompe Toren. An old monastery from the Middle Ages was demolished to make way for the store. Similar developments occurred in the historic districts and town centres of other settlements across Groot Waterland, where older buildings were demolished to make way for similar retail establishments. This caused many animals to have to flee to sub-urbs.[1]
Nijlrok Hap-in-slik door
- (lit. "Nijlrok Eat-up-and-swallow")
The name "Nijlrok" was formed by combining the first parts of their family names. Nijlrok Hap-in-slik-door was a chain of highway restaurants with catchy jingles. These jingles were sung by Krabnagel de Kater and directed by Anton Snorman at the behest of Nijlpaard and Rokodil. Three of these jingles were featured in De Droom van Alfred Jodocus Kwak.
They started this chain in Breed Rietland and when that proved successful, they proceeded to expand their business to Groot Waterland.[1]
Television station
To continue to promote Olkas Huisvloer Hallen and Nijlrok Hap-in-slik-door Nijlpaard and Rokodil decided to start a television station in Hoog Bergland. This project never got off the ground.[1]
Groot Speelgoedland

- (lit. "Great Toyland")
- This section is based on the contuinity from De Droom van Alfred Jodocus Kwak (book) and does not conform with the animated series.
After the failure of their television station idea, K. Rokodil and Olaf Nijlpaard, decided to build an amusement park in Breed Rietland.[1]
