The animated series Alfred J. Kwak and other materials, contain an incredible amount of characters. The Character- and Color-Designs for Alfred J. Kwak book contains over 250 characters[1][2] and while there are some characters designs that remain unused in the animated series, there are even more characters for which designs had to be created by Harald Siepermann and Hans Bacher later on into the production as episodes shifted. On top of that, many books from different languages and theater plays added even more named characters, making the total amount of characters introduced in the world of Alfred Jodocus Kwak well over 400.

Below is a list of all characters from any episode of the animated series, book or theater play. As the Dutch version and ancillary material provides the most exhaustive list of names, the list below will show Dutch names first. It will also include names from other languages if they do not have a Dutch name.
