The book De Droom van Alfred Jodocus Kwak is het only book that expands Alfred's family all the way up to his grandparents. It is very likely that this character was created just to expand the reasoning behind the names of Alfred's brothers and sisters as they were written in the book De wonderlijke avonturen van de eend Alfred Jodocus Kwak: Goedemorgen.[4]
