Disky Communications Europe B.V., also known simply as Disky, is a Dutch Private limited company based in Hoorn, the Netherlands, established in 1985. Disky is the company responsible for producing the Alfred J. Kwak - Jouw vriend voor het leven DVD series and Het GROTE Alfred J. Kwak vrienden spel. Within the Hermans Group Disky Communications has specialized in the marketing and sale of home-entertainment products in traditional and non-traditional sales channels.[2][3][4]

History

Disky was established in the Netherlands in 1985 as a music label with a retail focus. The company grew into the largest independent record label in the country, during the 1990's. It also expanded its product range to include DVDs and books.

Starting 2002, EMI held a majority stake in the label, which was bought back by Hermans Group in 2002. The company Dice Multi Media Europe was fused together with Disky Communication Europe in 2003, possibly giving them the personel and proficiency to eventually develop Het GROTE Alfred J. Kwak vrienden spel.
