Dor Hongerland (lit. "Barren Hungerland") is a fictional developing country mentioned briefly in the book De Droom van Alfred Jodocus Kwak.[1][2]
Notable features
Very little is known about Dor Hongerland, however Meester Bas Buldog's daughter Bella Buldog lives there with her two children and her husband, the third world doctor Albert.[2] According to Bas Buldog the people in this country live in similar states to how people lived in the middle ages in Polderstad.[3] Albert is involved in the construction of a small hospital and a water reservoir.[2]

One old grandparent of Amanda de Vlinder originally came from Dor Hongerland, who flew over Droogland and Dorstland to arrive at Groot Waterland, where he stayed.[4]
