Snel de Snoek (lit. "Quick the Pike") is a local resident of the Plaspoelpolder that almost ate the egg that Alfred Jodocus Kwak would hatch from if it wasn't for Johan Sebastiaan Kwak intervening.[2][3]
Appearance
Snel is a green pike with a yellow underbelly and several sharp teeth. He has several darker green spots on his body, brown fis and a couple of hairs on his head. He also has a scar on his right cheek. In his character design he has an angry demeanor, that is not as prevelant in the animated episode.[1][2] Just like most fish characters seen in the series, he does not wear any clothes.
Personality
His character sheet might suggest his personality is rough around the edges, in the series he seems relatively easy to get under the thumb by an angry Johan Sebastiaan Kwak. Johan is able to drag him out of the water and take the egg that Snel had swallowed while being almost completely inside Snel's mouth. This seems like it's only an annoyance to Snel, who allows him to do this.
Storyline
As a complete co-incidence, the egg containing Alfred Jodocus Kwak is stolen by Rap de Kiekendief, who drops it, it bounces on Henri Dropshot's tennis racket and ends up in the water falling on top of Snel de Snoek's head. Snel seizes the opportunity to eat an egg and swallows it whole. Only seconds later he's dragged out of the water and Johan Sebastiaan Kwak forces himself into Snel's mouth to retreive the egg.[2]
When the Beton Maatschappij starts destroying the pasture to construct Groot Speelgoedland in de Plaspoelpolder, Snel is one of the animals forced to emigrate. He moves over land by hopping across inside a bucket of water looking for more calm swimming water.[4]

Snel means Quick in Dutch. He shares the same name as the Dutch name for Snel de Haas.
While he remains unnamed at first, he is likely the first character introduced in De wonderlijke avonturen van de eend Alfred Jodocus Kwak: Goedemorgen; the first page mentions a fast pike.
